A W.two life lived is one with food stops

Most people write a travel diary after a holiday or a plane ride somewhere sunny, but this entry is a little different. Our best travel experiences were found only two streets away from adopted homes in Notting Hill – it was these very streets that planted the seedling that grew into W.two the label.

Georgie and I lived perpendicular to each other in Sutherland place, Notting Hill, key fact – W2 was our postcode. There was a grandness to the properties in Notting Hill, not whimsical, but beautiful to look at as you mosey past on the way to work or the tube station. Any trip out usually involved the little white door of Ottolenghi to grab a cheese twist.. for us it was literally the only thing that we could smell in there. Obviously very hard to resist the display the counter of tahini biscuits covered in sesame (please try) or the raspberry loaded chocolate shards too.

When time allowed and we could spend a little longer, Georgia and I had the most laughs, the best conversations and the best meals at 202 cafe. An eclectic brunch spot that that had the best French toast (add the bacon). If you were lucky, you were seated in a very prominent spot outside on the French style cafe tables with a view of all the black house across the way on Westbourne grove. We could go on and on about the architecture in this area (and we will).

To complete our hattrick, is none other than home – Granger and Co. Yes, we are Australian born, and if you know an Aussie you know why Granger is important for the following three items: A perfectly brewed flat white, fluffy bill granger eggs and of course a friendly Aussie accent to cure those home sick moments.

So now you know why Notting Hill means so much to us and it’s not just the food stops. So much more to share with you soon. For now get your slides and trench coat and we will see you soon for a cheese twist or two…
